When I started my yoga journey in my early 20’s, I was far more limber and had no fear of going into shoulder stand and flowing into plow pose. After a second car accident and over a decade of re-injury, I realized I needed a yoga practice that allowed me to honor my limitations, while I worked to rebuild strength and stability. I completed Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute YTT 200 in March 2021, which provides me greater access to awareness, ease, and mobility in my body through a practice of small somatic movements, therapeutic yoga techniques, and classical asana. Each asana & somatic movement is explored with curiosity and grace, offering an opportunity to identify, give attention to, and release deeply-held tensions and patterns of stress we carry in a compassionate way. I enjoy sharing this practice with others, and offering space to rest, restore, and connect more deeply with the unique essence and wisdom each of our bodies have to offer us. I also enjoy being in the garden, traveling, eating delicious food, and spending time with friends and family.
